President’s Message
Educator and author, Anna Lappe, once said, “Every time you spend money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want.” Lakeview Bank believes that spending money at locally owned businesses will help our local economy and community prosper. Statistics say that each dollar spent at independent businesses returns three times more money to your local economy than one spent at a chain. With this in mind, we know the key to strengthen our community is to think and spend locally.
Lakeview Bank is encouraging members of our community to “go local” this season. As a local business ourselves, we have a responsibility to give back to our community. That is why Lakeview Bank will be hosting multiple “cash mobs” as a way to encourage local spending and show support for independently owned businesses.
A “cash mob” is an event where we invite employees and customers to shop at a featured local business at a designated date and time. Our upcoming cash mobs will be featuring local cafés and boutiques located in Downtown Lakeville. These events will give people an opportunity to experience the exceptional customer service and quality products our local shops have to offer. We hope the cash mobs will help spread awareness about the benefits of shopping locally and drive more business at these shops.
We invite you to join our “go local” efforts by participating in our upcoming cash mobs. Stay updated with event details by following us on our Facebook and Twitter. Also, join the nation-wide conversation at #GoLocal, #GoLocalHoliday, and #BankLocally.
Sincerely,
Tom Mork
President & CEO
